Греция

So here I am, sitting at the computer writing this blog so you all dont have a heart attack :)
So I went to Greece for MKR.
Now before I get all into this let me tell you just how much of a blessing that week(well 5 days) was for me.

So, I was pumped to go. For several reasons. Once reason was, that im 15 and I'm going to Greece. DO you know how many people back in MIddleburg would KILL to go there at my age? Number 2, I was so stoked to see my friends again. I was lucky enough last march to go to Prague and work as an Intern in the Prague Media Office for almost two months. Then I got to go to the AGM in Poland. Now I got to go to this before I was ever on the field to meet people and what not. So In going to the AGM I got to meet some of the most amazing people in basically the whole world. So, I was totally psyched to get to see my friends again. Those were my two main reasons for wanting to go. I know, I should have gone wanting to hear from God. But the reality of it was that I didnt.

So, I was excited. So the day before we leave im just like on the edge of my seat all day long because we get to go pick up one of my best friends, Anna, up and she was going to stay over that night. So we finally get to go over and pick her up and we just about tackle each other. SO we go and pick up some McDonalds and get home and then we start a movie. We watched Blades of Glory, which I know is an awful movie but its so funny. So the battery runs out on the little dvd player5 so we talk after that. Now were eating chocolate and giggling about boys and what not and we keep deciding that we need to go to sleep because momma was going to wake us up at 5 the next morning...we didnt get to sleep until 3 30 that morning:) So we wake upp and get ready and say by to my momma and daddy. Then get in the car with Kyle and Aunt Leslie and Kiersten to go to the airport. SO Kyle is quoting The Office the whole time.( as usual by the by) and we get to the airport and on the plane. So Anna and I get kinda bored. So I start making up a rap....yes. a rap. :D And well. It was amazing. so then we have like 2 hours left on the plane and we *sleep* hah. and then get on to the bus in Bulgaria.. Now let me tell you, I love the people in Russia. But not enough to be on a bus with them for like idk 7 and a half hours! So that should just sum that part of the trip up right there! haha.

So we finally arrive in Greece and its just absolutely gorgeous. ANd were all excited and we get to the hotel. Now it was a small hotel. But it was cute. And so we get to see some people and were just like alllllll hyper. Lol. And well we get to see some of our friends like Ande and what not. And So we go to dinner and im sitting with Anna and she introduces me to Robert. Now to make this story shorter, he knows someone that I know:) which is basically cool! haha. So then we dont get to see the people from BUS until the next day because they were still traveling. so, The next day our festivities start and i basically tackled one of my friends as soon as I saw him! Carson is one of the coolest, smartest, funniest person ever. and I missed him immensely. So, then we start worship and I just loved it. And the message was from Stephen Edworthy and it was absolutely amazing. Then we go out to rec.. Now, yall know that I dont do rec type things. But I actually participated and was happy about it! I had a great time. Now, during rec, I started talking to Jacob. (who's a loser by the way)
That was basically how the week went. Well, besides evening worship, small group, prayer group, and Late NIght stuff. And so at free time and what not we would go to star bucks (amazing!!!) and then one day we all went out together to the shopping market and that was insane! I loved that place and we had an amazing time. And so im just going to get on to the last day.

So,There was one song in particular that really got to me. The Lyrics were "Savior, He can move the Mountains. My God is mighty to save, He is mighty to save" I dont know why, but that song just stuck out to me allot the whole time. Now, there was also another song that I just would play over and over in my mind. it goes "Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord, You are the everlasting God, The everlasting God, you do not faint you wont grow weary. Your the Defender of the Weak, you comfort those in need." Now, we had sung this song many times and then I really let it sink in. I'll admit it, im having trouble over here. I dont think I even knew I was until I got to Greece. And I heard these songs again, and I just broke down. I know that I always have to be the strong one in my family for my Brother and Sisters sake. I mean what would happen if they saw me cry about Russia? Or what would happen if they heard me say that I hated Russia? I dont complain about what ive given up in front of them, that would just teach them to complain about what they gave up. I dont want them to see me weak. So, I dont cry about that kinda stuff at home. And if I do, i do it while their sleeping. I miss my friends, I miss being able to wear flip flops all year long. I miss being able to listen to a sermon in my own language, or even singing songs in my language. Those have really effected me and I think that everything that I was feeling finally caught up to me. So you know what I did? I cried. It felt good.

I have gained so much in the past week. Honestly. I have the most amazing family ever. My friends are amazing. I already talk to my new friends more than I talk to the ones in Middleburg. I've got some of the closest relationships that you couldnt even imagine with just a couple people that I met this past week. Ive gained allot more knowledge of God. And ive realized why we were there. Sure I have funny stories about playing suck kickball, and being made fun of and what not. But Ive really gained a sense of why things happen and thats its ok, Becasue Jesus will comfoprt me and he's given me friends to do so by.

So those were my ramblings. Im sorry it was so long. That isnt even half of what happened.
So there you have it.
I went to Greece. And had the most amazing time ever.
Made some of the most amazing people ever.
And learned more about God.
isnt that cool?
